Privacy Policy

1. What Data We Collect
We may collect personal and trip-related information including your name, email address, phone number, booking details, and route/location information required to provide transfer services.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to operate the platform, match customers with drivers, manage bookings, send confirmations and service notifications, and provide customer support.
3. Stripe Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store full card details on our servers. Stripe handles sensitive payment information under its own certified security and compliance standards.
4. Google Maps Usage
We use Google Maps services (such as location and route APIs) to support address selection, distance estimation, and travel-related functionality in the booking flow.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to deliver services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce platform policies. Booking and payment metadata may be kept for statutory retention periods even after you close your customer account (see below).
6. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies
We use cookies and PHP session identifiers that are strictly necessary for secure login, CSRF protection, and core site operation. Language and display-currency preferences may be stored in cookies or the browser session so your choices persist across visits.
When you use the customer “post a ride” flow with Google address autocomplete or route preview, Google Maps JavaScript may set or read cookies and process location-related data under Google’s policies. You can control third-party cookies through your browser settings.
7. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable period, subject to legal exceptions.
8. Closing your customer account (erasure / anonymisation)
If you have a customer login, you may request profile anonymisation from Profile → Close and anonymise my account (or the equivalent link on your profile page). This replaces your name, email, phone, and password with anonymous placeholders, clears email verification, blocks new logins for that account, and removes outstanding password-reset or verification tokens tied to the account.
You cannot complete closure while you have an open transfer request or a booking that is awaiting payment, confirmed, or in progress; please resolve those first. Trip and booking records linked to your internal customer ID may be retained where required for tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or regulatory compliance; they will no longer show your original contact details on the customer profile.
9. Privacy contact
For privacy questions or data requests, contact us at privacy@get-tunisia-transfer.com. For operational issues (bookings, transfers), use the contact options shown on the Contact page.
